Interviewer: Daniel, thank you so much for taking the time to speak with me today.
Daniel Radcliffe: It’s my pleasure.
Interviewer: Let’s start with your latest film, The Lost City. Can you tell us a little bit about your role in the film?
Daniel Radcliffe: Sure. I play Abigail Fairfax, a billionaire who kidnaps Loretta Sage (Sandra Bullock), a romance novelist who writes about a lost city. Fairfax believes that Sage knows the location of the real lost city, and he forces her to help him find it.
Interviewer: Your character is quite different from the characters you’ve played in the past. What was it like to play someone so villainous?
Daniel Radcliffe: It was a lot of fun. I’ve always wanted to play a villain, and I was really excited to get the chance to do it. I think Abigail Fairfax is a really complex character. He’s not just evil for the sake of being evil. He’s motivated by his own personal demons, and I think that makes him a much more interesting character to play.
Interviewer: The film has been getting great reviews. What do you think audiences will enjoy most about it?
Daniel Radcliffe: I think audiences will enjoy the adventure and the humor. It’s a really fun movie, and I think it’s a great way to escape from reality for a couple of hours.
Interviewer: You’ve been acting since you were a child. What has been the most rewarding part of your career so far?
Daniel Radcliffe: The most rewarding part of my career has been the opportunity to work with so many talented people. I’ve been so lucky to have worked with some of the best actors, directors, and producers in the business, and I’ve learned so much from them.
Interviewer: You’ve also been very open about your struggles with alcohol and drug addiction. What advice would you give to other young people who are struggling with addiction?
Daniel Radcliffe: I would say that there is hope. I know that it’s hard, but it is possible to get better. There are people who can help you, and you don’t have to go through this alone.
Interviewer: Thank you so much for your time, Daniel. It was a pleasure speaking with you.
Daniel Radcliffe: Thank you for having me.
